Description of Collections[edit | edit source]The Mayerthorpe Public Library (MPL) has a large collection of local history books from locations throughout Alberta as well as many historical issues of the local newspaper, The Freelancer. Visitors are welcome to view items from our collection in the library, although if you have a library card in good standing, you may be able to borrow items. Services[edit | edit source]A visit to MPL provides an opportunity to view most limited-access FamilySearch.org documents. You will need to have your own FamilySearch account to login to this resource and library staff can assist you with the creation of an account if you require help. Library cardholders have access to many digital resources that may enhance research, and during your visit, Ancestry.com library edition. Visit our website for a list of digital resources.
