This conversion equipment will capture video and store it to a 16 GB thumb drive. In order to have a successful session, here are some things to consider:
Anyone involved in family history research has probably made the statement: "I didn't know that?" after hearing something new. There is so much to learn and the computer programs are always changing, so it seems. Clues and tidbits, even descriptions, are valuable bits of information that can help to educate even experienced researchers.
:*For full-size VHS tapes, rewind the tapes or set at starting point before coming.

:*Reservations are for 1 ½ hour. Please plan to complete all of your setup, taping, and wrap-up in that time frame.
This class is a three-week class that will cover areas of research such as: getting organized, calendars, city directories, census records, vital records, immigration and migration, land, military, etc.
:*The captured video file will be in .mpg or .mp4 format and will be transferred to your personal USB thumb drive. A two-hour video will need about 16GB of USB storage in .mpg and .mp4 formats.

:*The video tape can be split into smaller subject-based segments during the conversion, resulting in small videos that can be uploaded and easily shared.  If needed, a DVD can be created during the conversion.
