This recording room is state of the art. Please bring a minimum 16GB flash drive to capture your recording to take home. Be aware that the recording software being used at this time only records in 5 minute increments. You can record successive recordings during the time allotted. There will be a staff member to help you with the technical details of using the room.
The recording booth is where you can record a video of oral family history. This is done in five minute increments due to the file size of the recorded video, however you can record multiple videos. These videos can be sent to your cell phone or your email, and the audio can be attached to an individual's memories page on FamilySearch. The booth will have a staff member available to help you with any issues you may have. We are also able to assist you in developing topics and prompts you can use to record these stories. We can handle up to 12 people in the booth at once.
