FamilySearch Library Donations: Difference between revisions

Gifts of family histories and other records that contain genealogical information are welcome. For example, you can write a history of your family and donate a copy to the Family History Library. Donations must meet established criteria or they may be returned to the donor. When you donate an item, you can indicate that you would like the item digitized, as well. The Family History Library does not publish books for people. If you have compiled material that you want published, please find a publisher of your own choosing, whether self-published or by a commercial company.

The Church History Library welcomes gifts and donations of many types. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept all donations. For donations of books, manuscripts, artwork, photographs, or other articles relating to the history of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, go to http://www.lds.org/churchhistory/donationform and fill out the form. A Church history representative will contact you if we determine that your item fits within the scope of our collections.
