| "3rd (Harrison's) Cavalry Regiment was organized during the winter of 1863-1864. It was made up of four cavalry regiments and was very active during the Red River Campaign, March–May 1864. It returned to northeast Louisiana. Later that fall the brigade went into Arkansas with the Army of Western Louisiana.
