| What is indexing?
| |
| It is so exciting to find a hint for that dear ancestor. Indexing is the process of taking information from historical records images and putting it into a digital format. Indexing turns the records into searchable sources, allowing researchers to find and attach them to ancestors in their family tree in FamilySearch, i.e. HINTS! Your help is needed!

| Have you ever wondered how to get your children interested in doing family history? This class starts with a pedigree chart and helps children learn about using photos, memories and stories to enrich their connections with family members. We’ll also explore the Activities page on the FamilySearch website. This class is intended for children ages 8-11, but older children are welcome. A parent should accompany the child. It will also be helpful to have opened up your child’s account on FamilySearch and entered the beginning of their family tree.

| This class is intended for children ages 8-11. A parent should accompany the child. This class will focus on using the FamilySearch Memories app. Your child will be taught how to add memories (photos, audio recordings) using the Memories app. Since your child will likely not have their own phone, these Memories will be uploaded to a parent’s account.
