  • The first censuses of Canada for Alberta, taken in 1891 and 1901, included Alberta the Northwest Territories. Censuses were taken every 10 years after that.
  • Agricultural censuses of the Prairie Provinces (Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba) have been taken every ten years since 1906.
