In the earliest church records are four couples who we call "patriarchs" and "matriarchs." Three lived in the village of Żalno (German Sehlen, Reetz parish), northwest of Tuchola. One lived in Groß Komorze (Wielka Komorza). These two villages are only 10 kilometers apart going through Stobno on the way.
