About the Wiki[edit | edit source]

The FamilySearch Research Wiki is a free, collaborative, online genealogical guide on FamilySearch.org. It assists users who need research help in a specific place by providing:

  • Links to genealogical databases and resources
  • Research strategies
  • Genealogical guidance

Classes on How to Use the Wiki in your Research

Special Projects[edit | edit source]

Wiki projects with specific goals are created to help maintain and populate pages on the Wiki. These projects add content to assist and simplify research for online users and improves the accuracy of the information. Below are examples of projects available:

  • Cut and paste wikitext onto Wiki pages
  • Search for and replace broken links on Wiki pages
  • Find information from websites and add it to Wiki pages

Please contact us at wikisupport@familysearch.org for training to work on any of these projects.

  • Intermediate technology skills and willing to learn more
  • Attention to detail and willingness to repeat tasks
  • Ability to follow project instructions
