:The Museum of Archeology and Paleontology of the Federal University of Piauí (UFPI) has a new collection and is open to the public. The Museum presents fossils and archaeological remains found in different regions of Piauí. The exhibition is organized chronologically: the visitor travels through the state's past, starting with the oldest rocks and minerals in Piauí, passing through the fossils of the main geological eras until reaching the archaeological remains, also organized from the oldest to the most recent. The Museum also has a play area for children. Through the puppet and painting theater, they will be able to learn more about the state's past.

:Its vast collection keeps the history of Piauí alive. The place was also the seat of the state government. If you appreciate art and culture, you must visit the Museum of Piauí, located right in the center of Teresina, the state capital. Founded in 1934, the Museum emerged from a section of the Public Archives, the body responsible for keeping historical, artistic, and cultural documents produced in the State. In 1980, it began to house its collection at its current headquarters.
