The third RootsTech conference was held in Salt Lake City March 21-23, 2013.

The conference is designed to bring technologists together with genealogists, so they can learn from each other and find solutions to the challenges they face in family history research today.

RootsTech is sponsored by FamilySearch and several genealogy and technology partners.

RootsTech 2013 features 3 keynote sessions.

  • Fri. Jyl Pattee, founder of Mom It Forward Media and Tim Sullivan, President and CEO of Ancestry.com
  • Sat. David Pogue, weekly personal-technology columnist for The New York Times and a monthly columnist for Scientific American and Gilad Japhet, Founder and CEO of MyHeritage
