Cemetery headstone inscriptions from the Oak Hill Cemetery in San Jose, California. The inscriptions were made by the Santa Clara Historical and Genealogical Society as a part of a cemetery project. The collection is a card index and arranged alphabetically. Possible quick batch collection. A dash after the birth date means no death date was recorded. The first line in the upper right-hand corner of the card refers to the cemetery. The second line is the section of the cemetery the headstone is located. The name in the upper left-hand corner is the individual buried. Other names on the card refer to relatives. Ignore the page number in the lower left-hand corner of the card and the large dot in the upper right-hand corner. They were used as a reference by the society and no longer apply.
