:The [[USGenWeb|USGenWeb Project]] has a short page about it. How is it affected even the information is sufficent? I would expect as in every society or association if they choose, to maintain simple information, not too deep and invite to visit their own websites if available. :To encourage contributions our Wiki policies need to promote maximum freedom and a minimum of pre-censorship. Only material that is likely to offend, or discourage other readers or contributors should be banned. Rather than broad policies forbidding certain topics, let the community police the content and show contributors how they could make a Wiki page less offensive or more inviting. The only bans I support are against contentiousness, indecency, crass commercialism, or non-genealogy-research related material. Wiki policies banning discussion of Family History Centers, Societies, or FamilySearch products or any other genealogy-related topics discourage contributions and readership unnecessarily. We have been amazingly fortunate in the freedom we have had to discuss so many worthwhile genealogical topics on Wiki. Our community has shown it can be trusted. Now it is time to expand that freedom to allow discussion of FHCs, societies, and FamilySearch tools. Please let freedom ring and reign on Wiki as long as it promotes reading, contributions, and might help someone find an ancestor or two.   [[User:DiltsGD|DiltsGD]] 15:30, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
