Hidden Civil Registration Records[edit | edit source]

The following tables list civil records for Haiti comunes that are not accessible in FamilySearch using the usual search mehod. In other words, these places are NOT visible in the "Places within Haiti" catalog page.

Accessing Hidden Records[edit | edit source]

To access these records:

From the main page click the Search menu and select Catalog to open the Catalog main page.
To open a search field, click either the Subjects link or the Keywords link. Make sure the Place field is blank.
From one of the tables below, choose the comune, comunal section, or comunal place that you wish to research.
In the Subjects or Keywords field, enter the name you chosed in Step 3, followed by the word "Haiti."
Click the Search button.

Note: The search mechanism may sometimes expect one or more diacritic marks in the text. If your results are negative, try replacing those characters with wildcards.
