The following have significant cemetery listings for Oregon State:
Sites may be incomplete. • They may not list all cemeteries in a county • and may not include all burials in a cemetery. |
- Findagrave.com Search for names at Find A Grave. Enter at least a last name then click Search. Can narrow by first names or dates.
- This site frequently has tombstone images.
- List of cemeteries in their database.
- 1) Select the state, 2) pick a county, and 3) click Search. (There are too many cemeteries for a statewide list.)
- Tip: To switch to a different county, click Cemetery Lookup under Actions at the left.
- When you have a list, click on the number below Interments for a cemetery to access names. Click Records arrow to scroll through to the end.

- The Daughters' of the American Revolution (DAR) Collection contains tombstone inscriptions from Oregon cemeteries. This collection is described in the “Genealogy” article on this site. Another important collection is Oregon Cemetery Records, 2 vols. (Salt Lake City, Utah: Genealogical Society, 1956-61) FHL films 824258-59; book 979.5 V3p.
- Oregon cemeteries are listed in Oregon Cemetery Survey (Salem, Oregon: Oregon Department of Transportation, 1978) FHL film 1033848 item 4; fiche 6051231; book 979.5 V34o. This record gives the name, size, location, condition and sexton's or caretaker's address of each cemetery.
- Oregon Burial Site Guide, by Dean H. Byrd, co-compiled by Stanley R. Clarke and Janice M. Healy (Portland, Oregon: Binford and Mort, c2001) At various libraries (WorldCat); FHL book 979.5 V3b. Includes name of cemetery, directions on how to find it, number of burials, amount of land covered, date started or earliest known burial, township, range, section, which USGS Quadrangle map located on, and some pictures of headstones and grave sites. - The Family History Library has copies of cemetery records which are located at the county and town level. Search the FamilySearch Catalog for naturalization records under the county and town:
