The General Archive of the State of Hidalgo

The General Archive of the State of Hidalgo houses many records pertaining to the history of Hidalgo, including:

  • a photo collection of 3,600 photographs covering the period from 1880 to 1994
  • a library made up of 8,619 volumes, most of which are specialized in the following subjects: federal public administration, the state of Hidalgo, history of Mexico and Hidalgo
  • newspaper archive, including collections of periodicals and magazines from different eras, totaling 120,217 editions
  • and much more
