Belarus Church History
The history of religion in the countries that now comprise Belarus could be only called at best, extremely tumultuous.
Sadly, the histories of religions practiced in these areas include a frightful legacy of persecution, pogroms, forced conversions, exiled and imprisoned practitioners and leadership. Before and during World War II Roman Catholic minorities were slaughtered and the nightmare called the Holocaust decimated Jewish populations.
