The Winnemucca Colony of Nevada was established 18 June 1917 by Executive Order by President Woodrow Wilson 8 February 1918. Additional acreage was added in 1918 and 1928[2]. The Winnemucca Indian Colony of Nevada is a Federal Recognized Tribe and (IRA) Indian Re-Organization Act 1934 and also a Corporate Charter Section 17.
