The Granite Mountain Vault will be shifting a large amount of films into their newly renovated space. This entails moving half a million rolls of film, and numerous cabinets of fiche and digital media. Since it will be risky to pull items during this time, the Family History Library will not be able to order any microfilms above 1,796,169. Films with numbers lower than 1,796,169 and microfiche can still be ordered. <br>
FHL Cultural Event

This move is scheduled for early April of 2014 and will last about two weeks. Another update will be posted as soon as we have more information.
Bring your friends and family and explore the culture and traditions of the Polynesian Islands at the Family History Library Open House, June 20th, from 6:00–8:00pm. The Event is free of charge and open to the public. Enjoy live entertainment, hands-on children’s activities, storytelling, singing, and dancing, Polynesian style, as you discover the beauty of the Polynesian people, the importance of knowing your own heritage, and how the Family History Library can help you tell and preserve your story.

Light refreshments will be served, and limited free parking is available behind the Family History Library and the Church History Museum. Because free parking is limited, and not guaranteed, other options would include carpooling and using the UTA transit system. For complete parking information, see https://familysearch.org/locations/library_parking
