The following link will bring you to the main page of&nbsp; the&nbsp; Digital Archives (Digitalarkivet) of Norway.&nbsp; Here you will find most records for Norway.&nbsp; Click on the following link, then choose Digitized Parish Registers, then choose a parish, then the year when you ancestor was born, then page forward to the date when he/she was born and here you will find the actual birth and christening records.<br>[http://arkivverket.no/eng/content/view/full/629 Digital Archives]  


When you find the address, click on "Kirkebøker" (church books). Hard copies of these records in both Norwegian and English are also available for purchase. They can be ordered through the following address:
 
 
You may also search for an ancestor in the follwing database, however it is not as complete as the one for for the Digital Archives (Digitalarkivet) as many of the parish records have not been transcribed.
