- Please use this template to create boilerplate repository pages describing each courthouse, recorder’s office, archive, library, museum, or other repository with one or more collections of interest to genealogists. Edit to fit each repository. Note there is a separate template for societies.
- Use this template with common sense and flexibility. Consider the template only a guideline, not a final authority.
- See • Tennessee State Library and Archives • Library of Congress • Allen County Public Library • Church History Library • Worcester County, Maryland Courthouse and • Salt Lake City Public Library for examples of how a well-done finished page for how a repository would look.
- To use this template to create a boilerplate repository page:
- First create a new page with the name of the repository, e.g. Ohio State Archives, or Davis County, Utah Courthouse.
- Then in the new page's edit box type {{subst:Repository}} and click the Save page button twice.
- Edit the resulting boilerplate page to fit your needs as you describe the repository. Delete instructions in brackets and unwanted sections of the template. Add whatever is appropriate.
