Oberhoffen-sur-Moder is a commune in the canton of Bischwiller in the department of Bas-Rhin.
Before 1736 Oberhoffen (in Stab Offendorf) was in the territory of Hanau-Lichtenberg. When that line was extinguished in 1736 it was transferred to Hesse-Darmstadt. The rights of all nobility over Oberhoffen were abolished effective 11 Aug 1789. This was confirmed by the Peace of Lunéville on 9 February 1801.

The Count ordered a change in the religious text of the prayer from 3 October 1680, that they should no longer pray for the Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, but to His Majesty the King of France and Navarre. |
