Monthly Class Schedule

All classes are held in the Training Room of the Family History Center. Please register in advance by calling the Brigham City Family History Center at 723-5995.

Thursday Nov 7 - 6:00 pm - Family Tree Questions and Answers, taught by Barry Evans
This class provides answers to questions about Family Tree. Brother Evans is a missionary for FamilySearch and has the answers to solve problems in Family Tree. Come with questions and learn more about Family Tree.

Tuesday Nov 12 - 10:00 am - Legacy Sources, taught by Anita Olsen
This class teaches how to use the software program, "Legacy" in recording your sources. Question and answers will also be given about this software program.

Thursday Nov 14 - 2:00 pm - Internet Research Class, taught by Linda Peterson
This class teaches how to use different sites on the internet to find information for genealogy and some basic research skills in helping find names for the temple.

Thursday Nov 14 - 6:00 pm - Drop Box, taught by Anita Olsen
This class provides instruction on using "Drop Box", a program to store, share and retrieve information. Learn how to use "Drop Box" for sharing your family information, photos and stories and for your personal use.

Monday Nov 18 - 10:00 am - Family Tree Intermediate, taught by Annette Sheperd
This class teaches how to reserve ordinances for the temple, editing information and relationships on our family tree. Merging and sourcing are also taught.

Tuesday Nov 19 - 6:00 pm - Internet Research Class, taught by Linda Peterson
This class teaches how to use different sites on the internet to find information for genealogy and some basic research skills in helping find names for the temple.

Wednesday Nov 20 - 6:00 pm - Family Tree Photos & Stories, taught by Joyce Palmer
This class teaches how to upload photos and stories to Family Tree. Participants should bring photos and stories stored on a removable drive to practice using these features of Family Tree.

Wednesday Dec 4 - 6:00 pm - Preserving Family Stories through Oral History, taught by Michael Palmer
One of the services provided by the center is recording family stories on DVD. In this class you will learn how to prepare for your recording session at the center. Preserving and sharing family memories is a priceless gift for generations.
