-This collection contains records from 1961–1981 for United States Army personnel and their dependents who died or were injured, including those who were missing in action and prisoners of war. These records are for deaths or injuries that occurred throughout the world, but the majority of the records are for casualties from the Vietnam War. This collection includes records for active duty enlisted personnel, retired officers or those otherwise separated from the service, some National Guard and Army Reservists, and some civilian employees and dependents (if a notification of the casualty needed to be sent).
