This register contains records from seven probate courts of Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark.

The records in this register are listed alphabetically by the following courts:

These records are divided into nine different classes. The occupation of the person determines into which class the probate would be filed under. All classes should be checked to make the search thorough.

Classes within each record:
Klasse 1. Higher civil servants and commissioned officers of the armed services.
Klasse 2. Other civil servants.
Klasse 3. Clergy, professors, students, etc. working for schools, hospitals, and the church.
Klasse 4. Citizens of higher reputations and wealth, ie: wholesale dealers, bakers, etc.
Klasse 5. Artists, tradesmen, journeymen, etc.
Klasse 6. People of no means.
Klasse7. Servants
Klasse 8. Enlisted men in the Navy and persons in the merchant marines.
Klasse 9. Enlisted men in the army.
