Voting registers were created to make it easier for election officials to run the various elections held in [[Portal:Kentucky|Kentucky]]. These registers were often arranged alphabetically by the names of citizens eligible to vote. The early voting registers listed just the head of house, while some of the later voting registers listed not only the name but also the voter’s address, naturalization information, and date and place of birth.
