Brief History[edit | edit source]

The 12th Regiment, Kentucky Cavalry was organized at Caseyville and Owensboro, Kentucky, November 17, 1862. It returned to East Tennessee and duty at Sweetwater until August. The regiment was mustered out August 23, 1865.[1]
