The 98th Regiment, New York Infantry was organized (Cos. "A," "B," "C," "D," "E," "G" and "H") at Malone, N. Y., and (Cos. "F," "I" and "K") at Lyons, N. Y., January 25-February 8, 1862. Organization was completed at Albany, N. Y. The regiment mustered out at Richmond, Va., August 31, 1865.[1]
