However, authors are highly encouraged to resolve conflicts on their own. The [[FamilySearch Wiki:Etiquette Guidelines|Etiquette Guidelines]] will help all users understand how to avoid conflicts by following the suggested best practices when contributing to the wiki.

Prior to&nbsp;requesting mediation, contributors are required to take steps to&nbsp;resolve the editing conflict on their own:
