Recieved via email Steve, I changed the FHCpage because I had a FHC in Virginia that the city spelled its name as Centreville.  That spelling made it so I could not categorize the FHC in "Virginia Family History Centers."  It would only allow me to categorize it in "Virginia Family History Centres which was of course created a red link.  The only way I could get it to the proper category was to erase the code that made the spelling of the link to match the spelling of the place name.  If you have another way to correct this, please do so. --Ccsmith 15:17, 10 June 2011 (UTC)

:Hi Charles, OK I now understand what you were trying to achieve. Your edits did change the category for the Centreville Virginia Family History Center, but it also changed the category for all the FHC pages with the British spelling of Centre. While your edit was active they all had redlinks for categories. As the template analyses the page name looking for how the word Center is spelt work for the vast majority of page, the template code should not be removed for this one exception. For the Centreville Virginia Family History Center page and any others that need it I have edit the template code in that page to use an additional parameter called "type" which overrides the wording in the template and used the blank "category=" parameter to suppress the auto-category. I think you will find that this is a workable solution. --Steve 16:51, 10 June 2011 (UTC)
