The Canadian Geographical Names Data Base (CGNDB) helps to find the location of a place in Canada.

- Site provides the following searches.
- Name of a place
- Query by the name of a city, town, lake or other geographical feature.
- Coordinates
- Query by CGNDB Coordinates
- Unique code
- Query by CGNDB Unique Identifier
- Name of a place
- The results list shows:
- Name
- Province or territory
- Feature type
- Location
- NTS (National Topographic System) map
- Details
- Map
