- Please use this template to create boilerplate repository pages describing each library, recorder’s office, archive, museum, or other repository with one or more collections of interest to genealogists. Edit to fit each repository. Note there is a separate template for societies.
Instructions:
- Create a new page with the name of the repository, e.g. Ohio State Archives.
- Add {{subst:Repository}} then save the page. The template should populate the page.
- Edit the resulting layout of the page to fit your needs as you describe the repository.
- Delete instructions in brackets and unwanted sections of the template. Add whatever is appropriate.
- Examples:
Contact Information[edit source]NAME OF REPOSITORY
Collection Description[edit source](Please briefly describe each collection for genealogists (about two or three sentences for smaller collections). For example, explain the collection size, who (which ethnic, political, or religious groups) are covered, dates covered, jurisdictions covered, record types available, significant indexes, and any noteworthy record loss or gaps.)
Tips[edit source](Optional)
Guides[edit source](Optional: Internet or guide books describing this collection for genealogists.)
