| The key to success in European research is identifying the ancestor’s home town and parish. Learn how to find that all important home town using American records. Centennia software (demo) is particularly useful for tracking jurisdiction changes. Because of Europe’s war torn past and ever changing governments, the church was the primary vital records keeper. A large proportion of Eastern Europeans were Jewish, battling regimes that opposed them and forcing mass migrations. We’ll take a look at the most important resources for tracking Jews and others in each nation.
