  • French - 0.7% of the population
  • English - 5.1% of the population - most businesses and official meetings are conducted in English.
  • Seychellois Creole (French-based creole language) - 91% of the population
    • also known as Seychelles Creole and Seselwa Creole
    • de facto national language and most widely spoken native language of the country
    • often spoken with English words and phrases mixed into the Seychellois Creole
