:The collections that make up the Museum of History of Panama, are grouped following the accrual of the History of the country, generally established by the common of the national historians and officialized in the textbooks approved by the Ministry of Education as follows: 1st Colonial Period, from 1501 to 1821. 2nd Departmental Period, from 1821 to 1903. 3rd Republican Period, from 1903 to the present.
