Fixing FS Catalog Links


Purpose[edit | edit source]

The purpose is to fix old FamilySearch Catalog urls found in the Wiki. The redirects work, but we need to change the link to a FS template.

Instructions[edit | edit source]

1. Go to the Task List and put your name beside a Wiki page.

2. You will be fixing every other line on the spreadsheet (the ones with the links to Wiki pages)

3. Copy the following wikitext.

{{FHL|TITLE NUMBER|item|disp=CALLNUMBER}}

4. Click on the link to the Wiki page and click on "Edit source."

5. Review the Wiki page and do a Control + F to search the Wiki page and search for "show?".

6. Paste the template you copied and paste it just before the square bracket and the URL.
