The first Hacienda of the area was built in 1599 by the name Hacienda de Chacabuco.
In the wars of Independence, the Battle of Chacabuco was fought in the area.
The Municipality of Colina was created on December 22, 1891.
The town of Colina was established on May 25, 1896.
The commune of Colina has a population of approximately 113,700 people^[1].
