  • The first Hacienda of the area was built in 1599 by the name Hacienda de Chacabuco.
  • In the wars of Independence, the Battle of Chacabuco was fought in the area.
  • The Municipality of Colina was created on December 22, 1891.
  • The town of Colina was established on May 25, 1896.
  • The commune of Colina has a population of approximately 113,700 people[1].
