+:The museum offers its visitors permanent and temporary exhibitions, workshops, talks and various cultural activities aimed at reflecting on the construction of identity and diversity.  In its rooms on site, the exhibition Antigua Cárcel Municipal de León is exhibited, where the paradigm shift in the mid-nineteenth and early twentieth centuries is addressed around the surveillance of society and the punishment of crimes, as well as its historical implication in the region. Emulating those pedagogical assumptions around surveillance and punishment, the site rooms have a didactic character through the historical and patrimonial recovery that recovers the origins of the enclosure, its uses and the multiple personal stories of the inmates.
