The official records of Births, Marriages and Deaths of all twelve parishes in Jersey commenced in August 1842. The Superintendent Registrar holds copies of these. The registers are available for inspection from Monday to Friday between 09.00 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. subject to marriages taking place. Register Office staff can assist with personal research. Indexes of these registers are also available at the Société Jersiaise and the Jersey Archive.

If you do not have the reference number and research is required, this is charged as follows: Searching for a Birth or Death covering a five-year period is £10, searching for a Marriage covering a five-year period is £20.
