Adding online resources from the Missouri Digital Heritage webiste to Missouri county pages.

Part 1: Adding Links for County Histories[edit | edit source]
Part 1A: Review List on County Page[edit | edit source]
1. Go to the county you are working on and see if there is already a list of local histories listed under the heading.
2. If there are books listed with links to digital images, go to Part B, Step 2 below to reformat the links to match the instructions.
3. If there is not a link to a digital image of the book, start with Part B and slowly go through each website to see if an online version can be located. Then, use the instructions in Part B, Step 2 to format the links to match the instructions.
4. After you add to the list and reformat any links already in under the Local Histories heading, you will check the county page for any duplicates in Part E. Wait until you are finished with all the stops before doing this.

Step 1: Go to Missouri Digital Heritage
Step 2: click on the Quick links and select county histories
Step 3: Go to the section at the bottom of the page titled "search by county"
Step 4: Select your county and click "search"
Part 1C: Add the county history links to the Wiki[edit | edit source]
Step 5: go to the Local Histories heading on your county's Wiki page
Step 6: Check each county history to make sure it's not already listed on the Wiki page.
Step 7: Add all county histories not already listed on the Wiki page.
Step 8: put "added county history links"
Step 9: Click save.
Part 2: Adding Links for County Plat Books[edit | edit source]
Step 1: Go to Missouri Digital Heritage
Step 2: click on the Quick links and select county plat books
Step 3: Go to the section at the bottom of the page titled "search by county"
Step 4: Select your county and click "search"
Step 5: Go to the Maps and Gazetteers heading on your county's Wiki page.
Step 6: Check each county plat book to make sure it's not already listed on the Wiki page.
Step 7: Add all plat books not already listed on the Wiki page.
Step 8: put "added county plat book links"
Step 9: Click save.
Part 3: Adding Links for Birth and Death Records[edit | edit source]
Step 1: Go to the heading vital records and check to see if Missouri Digital Heritage's birth and death indexes are listed. If listed, select another county and return to part 1. If not listed, go to the next step.
Step 2: To add the link for births, copy and paste the code below:

Step 4: Type "added vital record links" in the summary section.
