Pakistan Compiled Genealogies

The term "genealogy"  is used to describe records that contain family information gathered by individuals, societies, or archives. These records may include pedigree charts, compiled family information, correspondence, ancestor lists, research exchange files, record abstracts, and collections of original or copied documents. These excellent sources of information can save you valuable time. However, these types of records may contain inaccuracies, so you should verify the information you find.

A list of Personal Records and an Index are found under reference O/6/1-20 at the OIOC at the British Library in London. These records cover the period 1794 to 1841 and can be accessed at: http://www.ans.com.au/~rampais/genelogy/india/indexes/index.htm. The series consists of data prepared at East India House and covers a range of miscellaneous subjects, including the services and character of individuals, memorials, complaints, claims, petitions, suggestions on administrative changes, and expeditions.
