Cornwall Record Office (CRO) was established by Cornwall County Council in 1951. The holdings of the office range in date from the mid-12th century right up to the 21st century. The record office in Truro was closed in September 2018. It is in the process of being moved to the new Cornwall Archives Center (Kresen Kernow) located in the old Redruth Brewery. It is scheduled to open in 2019.
