Many people can find a street in Copenhagen that their ancestor lived on, but finding the parish or police district they belonged to is another question. This index is meant to help researchers discover the correct parish to search in and what Police Kreds. The Police Kreds is important to know in order to use the Copenhagen Police Censuses.

The Police Kreds numbers were taken from the 1880 Police Census Alphabetical Registers, FHL Microfim #s 322554 - 322559
