Units 1st through 3rd

• 1st Battalion, Virginia Reserves (Confederate)
  1st Battalion Reserves was organized during May, 1864, with nine companies.
  During the Appomattox Campaign many of its members were captured at Sayler's Creek.
  Lieutenant Colonel Richard T. W. Duke and Major James M. Strange were in command.

• 1st Regiment, Virginia Reserves (Fairnholt's) (Confederate)
  Organized in August,1864.
  During the Appomattox Campaign most of its members were captured at Sayler's Creek. The field officers were Colonel Benjamin L. Farinholt, Lieutenant Colonel Thomas T. Boswell, and Major C.E. Averett.

• 3rd Regiment, Virginia Reserves (Booker's) (Confederate)
  Organized in September,1864, April 9,1865 it surrendered. Its commanders were Colonel Richard A. Booker, Lieutenant Colonel Joel B. Leftwich, and Major William M. Ewers.
  

• 3rd Battalion, Virginia Reserves (Archer's) (Confederate)
  Organized at Petersburg, Virginia, in June, 1864. It served in the Petersburg area, then in January, 1865.
  On April 9, the battalion surrendered. Lieutenant Colonels F.H. Archer and W.H. Hood, and Majors Thomas H. Bond and William H. Jarvis were in command.
