Immigration[edit | edit source]

People came from United Kingdom, France, and latterly other parts of the world, due to it being a Tax Haven.  The easiest way to check when they arrived is by looking at the Census for each 10 years.

Emigration[edit | edit source]

Many residents of the Channel Islands emigrated to Canada, United States, Australia, and New Zealand. There are 3 books that are available at the FHL. Salt Lake City:

  • The Quiet Adventurers in Canada, by Marion G. Turk Contains genealogical and historical information about emigrants from the Channel Islands.  FHL 971 D2tm
