Also, Romanians can use the records to find family members on collateral lines who left Romania. Coverage: 20-30% of the population can be found in emigration records. Content: List names of persons who emigrated, birth dates, birthplaces, names of relationships, occupations, former places of residence, destinations, and dates when permission was given to emigrate.

Accessing the Records: Regional archives hold these emigration records. Archives usually do not do research, so a researcher must be hired. The Family History Library does not have any Romanian emigration records.[1]
