Since 2005 a national cemeterydatabase called Gravminner i Norge (Tombstones in Norway), have been in service. This is searchable cemetery records with photos. It is operated by the genealogy association DIS-Norge and is open to everyone. This database contains 3 different kinds of information. Firstly it contains computerbased databases with cemetery registers, received from local church administrators. Secondly paperbased cemetry records are being digitised, so they can be searchable. Third part of the project involves photographing and digitising information written on tombstones on norwegian cemeteries.<br>
