Since 2005 a national cemeterydatabase called Gravminner i Norge (Tombstones in Norway), have been in service. This is searchable cemetery records with photos. It is operated by the genealogy association DIS-Norge and is open to everyone. This database contains 3 different kinds of information. Firstly it contains computerbased databases with cemetery registers, received from local church administrators. Secondly paperbased cemetry records are being digitised, so they can be searchable.
