Palmbach is a town in Baden, Germany. It was settled by Waldensian | Palmbach is a town in Baden, Germany. It was settled by 28 Waldensian refugee families in 1701. At the time it was founded the area was a part of Wuerttemberg. In 1806 it became a part of Baden. Until 1725 the town was known as La Balme. The early church records were written in French until about 1821. Many of the Waldensians came from the villages of La Balm, Roure and Mean in the Pragela valley in the Piedmont region of what is now Italy. | ||
