The Chapman Code is a coding system used in genealogy to identify the administrative divisions in the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands.
It was created by Dr Colin Chapman and is largely a superset of the ISO 3166-2:GB and BS 6879 systems.
