HACCOMBE (St. Blaize), a '''parish''', in the union of Newton-Abbott, hundred of Wonford, Teinbridge and S. divisions of Devon, 3 miles (E. S. E.) from Newton-Abbot. The church was formerly collegiate, being endowed with the great tithes of Haccombe and Quethiock (in Cornwall) for the support of an arch-priest and five inferior priests.
